Tarte tatin a pie with amazing apple flavour cooked in caramel with the crispiness of puff pastry underneath.
What is Tarte tatin:
It is a french upside down pie made by tartin sisters. Like many other dishes it is also invented suddenly tartin sisters are making simple apple pie but they mistakenly put the apples first so they place the puff pastry on top and the results make them out of words. It is a very famous dish and served as a desert for many celebrations in France. caramelised apples with buttery puff pastry gives you a memorable experience.

Difference between apple pie and tarte tatin:
apple pie is a simple dish apples are cooked in cinnamon powder and sugar and the mixture in in the puff pastry but tarte tatin is a fancy dish ,the main difference is the method used for the cooking in both recipes but the taste difference is also mind blowing.
Ingredients:
- 4 to 5 apples
- 130 grams of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 tablespoon butter ( salted)
- 1 puff pastry sheet ( according to your pan)
How to make it:
Preparation:
First take your apples and peel them , after peeling them cut them in the shape according to your choice but be careful as the apples this will decide the presentation of your dish.I am cutting them in slices.Now after cutting them take a separate pan add water and sugar in the pan and cook the caramel until light golden brown turn off the flame before it get dark brown or burnt.before the light brown stage add in your butter and sliced apples and cook them with caramel until juices releases and caramel is cooked.
Pastry:
you can make homemade puff pastry by using any type of uni puff with flour dough, but i am using store bought puff pastry for it roll it out and cut it according to your pan.

Assembling:
Take your caramel pan and add your mixture in the baking pan, now place the apples according to your choice and place the puff pastry on the top. take a spatula and seal the sides by pressing.Now place it in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes at 200 C until the top is perfectly cooked.
Serving:
Take the dish you want to use and turn the baking pan upside down.There is no special presentation for it it will look fabulous in this stage.
