All Disney cartoons have a great influence on children as well as adults,Now days it is also a part of trend to try the dishes related to different cartoon series.I recently watched Ratatouille , so like many other people i also want to experience the real flavours of this recipe. Ratatouille is a french recipe as you know french cuisine is also very famous world wide,so this dish is served in many veg restaurants all over the world. Ratatouille is basically a magic of natural flavours of vegetables if you will try this recipe i am sure you will never regret.

Traditionally ratatouille is made in simple form like all the vegetables are cut in small squares and cooked but now this is presented so elegantly all the vegetables are equally cut in slices so that the dish will look more fancy and eye catching.This dish is full of flavours a burst of rustic warm and with herbs aroma.

ingredients:

  • ingredients for sauce:
  • Tomatoes (900 gram)
  • Pepper (250 gram)
  • Onions (200 gram)
  • Carrots (200 gram)
  • Celery stalk (100 gram)
  • Chili pepper (60 gram)
  • butter (60 gram)
  • Garlic ( 2 cloves )
  • mix Herbs 1 tbsp.
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 1 tbsp.
  • Thyme
  • Basil
  • Ingredients for the top layer:
  • Zucchini
  • Eggplant
  • Marrow squash
  • pound Tomato
  • Potato
  • Onion
  • Pepper ( all in slices as required)
  • 4 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Salt pinch
  • 2 tsp Thyme
  • garlic 1 tsp

How to make it:

Prepare the sauce:

we have to prepare the sauce to prepare it first take you tomatoes and boil them in warm water and peel them and the blend in puree , also take your bell peppers and bake them or roast on flame until soft.Then chop them in small cubes.Add oil in the sauce pan add in all the ingredients i mentioned and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until completely cooked now take the blender and make it smooth, and there is your sauce ready to use.

Cutting:

in this recipe your cutting will decide how fancy or neat your dish will look so take a knife and slice each vegetable equally.after slicing place them in cold water with salt for 15 minutes.

Final step:

Now take your baking dish add in the layer of sauce underneath and then place all slices properly on it.Take a small bowl add in olive oil,salt,thyme and garlic and mix.Now pour this olive oil on it for better finishing .pre heat the oven at 160 C for 20 minutes.Cover your dish with foil paper and place it in the oven for 30 minutes, after 30 minutes of cooking remove the foil paper and then cook for 10 minutes more for the top.Now prepare your plate and dish out your dish, and that,s it your dish is ready to enjoy.
